CISEA works towards realization of the broader vision of ACI “To be a pace-setting academic and pastoral institution, training Christian workers and leaders for effective mission in the African Context”.
For its mission, CISEA seeks to equip and resource religious leaders, scholars and develop scripturally-based reflection on interfaith issues in general and Muslim-Christian interface in Africa in particular through teaching, research, publications and consultancy. The Christian-Muslim interface will, however, always be examined through the prism of the shared primal worldviews. The work of CISEA complements other research and teaching areas of the ACI, covering primal religions, African Christianity and gospel and culture related themes.
